The Best Places To Travel You Haven’t Put on Your List Yet

Looking for the best places to travel? You’ve come to the right place.

Traveling the world is an amazing, soul-nurturing experience that helps you learn about other cultures and people.

The problem is, there are so many cool places you could go to! Narrowing down your list is just one of the steps you need to take before you go ahead and book a flight. (Along with maybe setting a budget and asking whoever’s coming where they want to go.)

We’ll help you do that here. Check out some of our favorite awesome travel destinations. Bon Voyage!

Paris, France

A dream city for many, Paris is the heart of love and luxury in mainland Europe. A sprawling metropolis, you can get lost in the city’s tourist attractions like the Louvre or the Eiffel tower. Or explore the city’s many small corners. You could spend days here and not see the same thing twice!

Pro tip: While the weather isn’t as warm, Paris is quite beautiful in the wintertime. And often, due to pollution, they make the metro free for everyone to get around the city to encourage people not to drive.

Prague, Czech Republic

Before you head back to the states, you’ve got to check out this up and coming central European hotspot. Prague is one of the oldest, most beautiful cities in all of Europe. And with its many museums, castles and picturesque viewpoints, you won’t find it hard to find things to do.

We encourage you to walk across the Charles Bridge, visit the St. Vitus cathedral and walk around the old town square. It’s another beautiful city to see in the wintertime too!

Prague is also a wonderful starting point for galavanting across Europe. It’s smack dab in the center, and the airport offers flights each day all over the continent.

Costa Rica

Want to see the rainforest? Camp out on a beach and relax? Costa Rica has it all.

This is a country where anyone can have a good time. Whether you’re up for a rugged outdoor adventure or just want to sit under one of the many villas drinking cocktails, there’s an itinerary that will fit for you.

Costa Rica is also home to a number of renowned National Parks. Visit the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve for a unique, educational experience.

Of all the things, though, we recommend visiting the Arenal volcano. It’s not often that you get to see an active volcano, so take advantage while you can!

New Zealand

Often overshadowed by its neighbor Australia, New Zealand is a country of beauty. With its vast mountains and oceans, you could ski and snorkel with the dolphins all in the same day without too much struggle.

New Zealanders also have a knack for fun. It’s an amazing country for going out, seeing the town, and knocking back a drink or two as well.

Pound for pound, New Zealand is one of the best places to travel in the world. The flight might be a long one but we promise it’ll be worth it.

Glacier National Park

If you’re an American looking for a gorgeous staycation, look no further than Glacier National Park. Around 3 million people make the trip to Montana’s Rocky Mountain, which goes to show you just how much potential there is to have an amazing vacation.

There are thousands of miles of trails to hike on and beautiful designated areas for camping in the warm months. Plus, their myriad wildlife centers are great for those not wanting to rough it in the backcountry. So this could be a kid-friendly journey as well.

Tokyo, Japan

The busiest city and capital of Japan, go to Tokyo for a unique, satisfying vagabonding experience. Home to hundreds of museums, amazing restaurants (ramen anyone?), and even it’s own Disneyland, you’re sure to leave this country feeling like you got your money’s worth.

For a unique experience, go see a professional Japanese baseball game. Japan is wild about baseball, and you might just be surprised at how high the level of talent is over there!

Bogota, Colombia

High altitude, sprawling, and tucked against beautiful green mountains, Bogota easily ranks in the top 50 travel destinations in the world. Once thought of as an unsafe place to visit, modern Colombia is considered safe and even progressive in many ways.

(Did you know many startups are settling and building their empires in Colombia?)

There are dozens of free walking tours each day in Bogota. You’ll see art, learn about the best places to get delicious food and learn about the history of this country. It’ll be as educational as it is unforgettable.

Petra, Jordan

Want to visit a 2000-year-old city and see a part of the world you might never see otherwise? Jordan may be the perfect place for you to go.

Petra is home to some of the most jaw-dropping ancient architecture that remains in the world. You’ll learn the story of an amazing lost civilization just by observing the many caves, temples, and tombs this place is home to.

Turn your vacation into a whole country expedition. Visit the dead sea, climb ruins, and explore Corinthians columns.
