It never crossed my mind to do this. I crossed this issue when I tried to buy my niece one of these dolls i heard about this doll through a guest that created one for her daughters. But I when I went to create one the hair to me was the biggest issue, i think that is the most distinctive feature she could have and would help my niece to relate. I remember once as an adult I saw a doll with two afro puffs and I knew what it felt like to have a doll that looked like me, and said to myself, "this is what little white girls must feel like". There was a sense of pride and joy, something so small could create such an amazing feeling, a feeling of acceptance and belonging!!!
